The Mohamadiya Foundation, an Organization in Galhinna. a remote village in the central region of Sri Lanka, was established with the sole aim of improving the religious, social, educational and cultural activities of the people in this village. Under the patronage of the above foundation, an English school by the name The Royal English School, was started in 2004, paving the way for the less privileged children in Galhinna, to study in the English medium. It aims to also prepare students to succeed in a world that is rapidly being globalised. This is the only English medium school within a radius of 20 Km.

The History of The Royal English School Galhinna

This English Medium School was started in the year 2004 with a nursery section of 20 students. At present, the classes have expanded to grade 4 (2008), with the strength of 150 students and 10 teachers. In order to develop and keep up with modernization, we require the following:

  • School Buildings
  • A Play Ground
  • Computers
  • School Furniture
  • A Photocopier Machine & Other Electrical Eqp.
  • Library Books.
Dear Well Wishers, we have laid down the foundation for building our school. At present, in order to complete, we are in need of financial assistance. For people interested in the welfare and upbringing of this educational institution (donations in any form will be accepted), kindly contact the School's Administration.
